Jessica Thomas Shonebarger's lifelong connection with Elevated Church cannot be understated. Raised by her parents, Pastor Mike and Gail Thomas, Jessica's roots in the church community are deeply personal. After completing her bachelor’s in political science at Lee University in 2004, she returned to the Pinellas Park area and embraced the role of Youth Director at the church in 2005.

In 2007, Jessica married Eric Shonebarger, and together they have played integral roles in nearly every aspect of church life. Jessica's current role as the Woman’s Pastor and Ministries Director allows her to oversee and coordinate all activities at Elevated Church, demonstrating her versatile leadership and commitment to fostering a vibrant church community. Her ability to adapt and fill various needs within the church has made her a pillar of the congregation.

In addition to her church responsibilities, Jessica is the Executive Director of PromoStandards, a non-profit organization in the promotional product space. She also serves on the board of the Worship Collective, a ministry dedicated to equipping the next generation of worship leaders. This ministry focuses on mentoring high school students who feel a call into worship, providing a foundation for the heart of worship while offering a place for them to operate in a worship team collective that ministers to people in the Pinellas County area.

Jessica, Eric, and their two daughters, Abigail and Madelyn, reside in Seminole, Florida, where they continue to be active and cherished members of their community. In her spare time, Jessica loves spending time with her family every chance she gets, cherishing the moments they share together.

Responsibilities
  • Ministry Coordination: Coordinate all ministry activities within the church, ensuring alignment with the church's mission and goals. This involves developing strategies, overseeing implementation, and facilitating communication among ministry leaders and volunteers.
  • Women's Ministry Leadership: Lead and manage the Women's Ministry, providing spiritual guidance and support. Plan and execute events, Bible studies, and outreach programs tailored for women, fostering their spiritual growth and personal development.
  • Program Development: Design and implement programs that address the needs of the congregation and community. Monitor and evaluate the success of these programs, collaborating with church leadership to make necessary adjustments and improvements.
